About Us
The Current Board

Brett Krause – President & Secretary:
Brett grew up on a family run sawmill in South-East Queensland, and knew from an early age that logging native timber was having an negative effect on biodiversity.
After graduating from university, Brett decided that he wanted to do more for the environment and thought tree planting would be most effective way.
After moving to Murrigal in Far North Queensland mid 2011, Brett could see the devastation of the native forest left behind by cyclone Yasi and knew that more had to be done. For the next 3 years Brett revegetated his own 10 acre property along with his partrner and volunteered with local community groups on revegetation projects.
In 2015 Brettacorp Inc. was established as Brett saw a need to get more trees planted on a larger scale.
Brett loves making habitat for our native fauna. When he’s not organising plantings, he’s out Forest Building with the team.

Gavin Eilers – Acting Vice President:
Gavin grew up on the rivers and reefs of Far North Queensland.
Working as a banana grower for over 20 years, he has seen plenty of change throughout his life, but his message is simple.
“If you think it’s too late to save the Great Barrier Reef, you’re joking. It’s never too late. We just need some people to change to better practise. I feel obligated to do the right thing, but more than that, I just think that once best practice is set up, it pays for itself. Doing the right thing is no more costly than the wrong thing. And it’s more beneficial in the long run.”
Gavin’s appreciation for environmental protection, includes nutrient, sediment and pesticide management and native tree planting.
Gavin was named The Reef Guardian Farmer in 2016. He has sat on the technical advisory panel for the ABGC’s Reef Grants committee and has spent countless hours and thousands of dollars of his own money to deliver improved water quality outcomes for the river systems and ultimely The Reef..
Gavin has been involved with Brettacorp Inc. since late 2022 and hardly ever misses a community planting day.

Sally Densley – Treasurer:
Sally grew up on a cattle farm in rural South Australia, and had a love for animals from a young age.
Moving to Tully in 2011, that love of animals only grew. Sally always has a camera in her hand photographing our native fauna for others to enjoy, in hope that they too become passionate about our wildlife.
Sally has worked in Administration for the last 8 years in various roles and enjoys the day to day challenges of running a business.
Sally co-founded Brettacorp Inc. with Brett in 2015, and loves the social aspect of our community planting days, but her most favourite thing is watching native fauna return to revegetated sites that were once barron.
